I specialise in helping executives to achieve more through others. Together we work on communication, coaching and team motivation skills. In my experience, leaders and managers who engage powerfully and clearly with their colleagues create a focus and energy in their teams, which in turn deliver breakthroughs for customers.

Before Snowball, I worked for Sun Microsystems UK Ltd in Human Resources and Development. Prior to Sun I worked for the newly privatised British Telecom plc in Change Management. I was assigned to key directors and was responsible for the facilitation of change, training design and delivery, employee communication and quality.

I am a Psychology (BSc Hons) graduate from Bristol University and a corporate member of the Institute of Personnel & Development (MCIPD). My facilitation skills were developed through the work of John Heron at Surrey University and I have a Counselling Qualification from Oxford University. I am an active practitioner of the Myers Briggs Type Indicator (Step II), Neuro- Linguistic Programming (Business Practitioner) and DISC.

My clients tell me that I am unusual in my direct and positive approach which highlights the behaviour of individuals and groups. My questioning technique and facilitation enable a fast focus on the real issues and a binding together of groups towards a shared goal. As part of coaching, I observe my clients with all those who have interactions with them, including customers, direct reports, peers and the boss.

I live in England, near London, and give workshops all over Europe.

I am passionate about life long learning. This is why I chose education and development as a profession way back in 1990 and continue to add to and refine what I do. It is also why we chose the name Snowball: to suggest growing from something small into something really big that can keep on getting bigger and bigger. This is important not only for me, but the people I work with, who are in turn inspired to make a difference in their lives. I am proud that I am still working with some of my first clients.

In 1997, I teamed up with Ulrike to maximise our complementary skills. It is always our aim at Snowball to give participants practical, relevant tools to help tackle everyday, work-related issues and we are flexible in our approach. My particular focus is on leadership, people management skills, transitions, coaching, creativity and presentation. I work with both groups and individuals.

Since graduating, I have lived in the Middle East, Switzerland, Holland, Germany and now France . My work has taken me much further afield – to the Far East, South and Central America, India and Bangladesh, North and South Africa as well as all over Europe . Although I am English, I prefer to see myself as European. I speak French, German, Dutch and Spanish, and I remain fascinated by how different people and cultures communicate.

I graduated from Durham University in the UK in 1981, where I studied French and German literature. After that I did an RSA teaching qualification. I am also qualified to use psychometric tests such as the Myers Briggs Type Indicator and am an NLP practitioner and ICF certified coach. I currently live in Chamonix, France , where I indulge my passion for mountains.

I specialise in helping managers transform into true leaders, to get more from their teams and enrich their own working experience. In modern leaders, interpersonal skills and empathy are as important as technical competence. Through coaching and skills workshops, I work with executives to develop the attributes that are critical to their business success.

I have spent many years at the sharp end of business, much of it in the Sales and Marketing sphere of the IT sector. As a director of a fast growing IT company, I came to understand how people are motivated and what makes them productive at work. I was continually reviewing my own management approach and once I understood how coaching could be employed as a manager, my effectiveness rose dramatically. I am passionate about how this approach can help transform my clients’ businesses.

I am a Natural Sciences (BSc Hons) graduate from Durham University, which included Psychology and Business Studies.

I am a trained Business Coach, a Neuro-Linguistic Programming Practitioner and use the DISC psychometric tool.

Clients appreciate my action driven approach – I combine a mix of both challenge and support to get people ‘unstuck’, motivated and moving forward. My optimistic outlook helps me see the best in people. Clients tell me I am a clear, informed and confident facilitator who can flex to suit different learning styles.

I live in England, near Cambridge.

My proposition for development begins and ends with the belief that if you feel good about yourself, then ordinary results can become extraordinary results – for you and your business.

As a business coach I work with individuals and groups to improve their performance at work.

I believe in getting people to communicate honestly with each other and I am continually drawn to theories and learning that help us to do this better. But even more, I want to work with that learning in a practical, engaging and creative way. “How do I help my clients to do it better tomorrow? And the day after?”

My extensive background in the Financial Services, Retail and Human Resources sectors means my approach to coaching has always been firmly rooted in the practical. I never lose sight of my client's day-to-day reality and I work to develop meaningful actions and goals that reflect their own unique situation.

With more than 15 years' industry experience in various leadership and consulting roles I've worked with companies including HSBC, John Lewis Partnership, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Deloitte, Monitor - Independent Regulator of NHS Foundation Trusts, Ceres Power and Ashridge.

I have an MSc in Organisational Consultancy with Ashridge and am a member of the Association for Coaching. I am a qualified user of the Benchmarks 360 Feedback and the MBTI psychometric instrument and am also trained in advanced facilitation, counselling skills, Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) and Transactional Analysis (TA).

I specialise in working in partnership with individuals and groups to achieve their goals, using coaching and training to help them to achieve success. I believe that everyone wants to make a difference in the world of work, and that we all have the resourcefulness to achieve that. The best leaders are not infallible and they use coaching to help people access their own talents and resourcefulness. Good leaders are also reflective in their own practice. I work with them to help them to develop that self-awareness, leading to enhanced personal effectiveness.

I have been an independent consultant for 9 years, and have worked in the development profession for 18 years. Previously, I worked for J Sainsbury plc as a training manager, and have also worked as a Human Resources Director in the National Health Service. I currently enjoy working with clients across the private, public and voluntary sectors.

I am a Psychology (BSc Hons) graduate from Birmingham University and a Chartered Fellow of the Institute of Personnel and Development. I am also registered by the British Psychological Society to use psychometric tests of ability and personality assessments. I am a passionate user of the Myers Briggs Type Indicator.

My main areas of interest in human resource development include: appraisal and inspiring performance, managing change, interviewing skills, influencing, teambuilding, presentation skills and written and oral communication. I also enjoy facilitating top teams in determining their vision and strategy for the future.

I live in Hampshire, England.
