Facilitating

When businesses undergo change, experience conflict, or generally feel stuck, they benefit from outside help. We work with groups of all sizes and levels, including Management Boards, to improve their effectiveness. First, we clarify objectives and design and structure the time spent together. This ensures that agreed outcomes are met. Then, we facilitate: focusing on the process used and relationships in the group. In this way, involvement is maximised and a sense of clarity, progress and satisfaction achieved.

Examples of our facilitation work include:

  • Enabling a group to produce a shared vision:
Guiding a team through a series of questions and exercises, which results in a vision they understand, own and are excited about.
  • Resolving team conflict:
Planning for success by focusing on the team’s strengths, resources and track record. Acknowledging tensions and differences and seeking to minimise them. Providing a communication framework and ground rules so that the team can operate effectively.
  • New leader assimilation:
Guiding a manager with a new team to get off to the very best start by:
    • Preparing and learning from others before the new job starts
    • Clarifying role, purpose and priorities of the team
    • Sharing expectations of each other including the new boss
    • Understanding the contribution of each team member
